Bulgarian Web Association
Bulgarian Web Association (BWA) is a trade association, representing the branch interests of the web companies and professionals in Bulgaria. Now BWA is the only association with activities directed to the benefit and defense of legal entities and natural bodies, working on design, realization and hosting of Internet sites, web marketing, design and Internet advertisement.
Bulgarian Web Association (BWA) was founded in 2004 as an independent, voluntary public organization. BWA already has good experience in organizing web events. In 2004 BWA run successfully the national BG Site Contest and the International Web Festival Albena. BWA is open to everyone willing to become a member or to co–operate with it.
Bulgarian Web Association (BWA) aims to share the achievements of Bulgarian Web business with partners and colleagues from Central and East Europe, the Black Sea Region and the World Wide Web business community. BWA also works for establishing of professional standards, ethics and high quality services and in the beginning of year 2004, has approved the Code of Ethics and Regulations, advisable for the Bulgarian web market.
Bwa Events
For professionalizing the web business in Bulgaria and for approaching it to the worldwide standards, Bulgarian Web Association undertook the organization of the International Web Festival Albena 2004 that passed with great interest and many pleased participants.
The most prestigious Bulgarian competition that annually honors the best Bulgarian–created Web sites and the individuals and teams behind them — The National BG Site Contest, is also one of the BWA successful events. Bulgarian Web Association organizes Web seminars too, in order to improve the quality of web services and to help the Bulgarian web business to develop and expand.
BWA aims to work locally and to think globally, because in Internet, there are no borders and limits and Web is the media of the future.
